Topgolf is a global sports entertainment brand redefining how people experience golf by blending technology, food, drink, and play into a social experience for all skill levels. The ‘Players Wanted’ campaign was developed to drive awareness and footfall among new audiences, with a focus on positioning Topgolf as a fun, inclusive, and approachable space for both avid golfers and total beginners.

Challenge
While Topgolf had strong brand recognition in certain markets, there remained a significant untapped audience who still viewed golf as exclusive, overly serious, or inaccessible. The challenge was to shift that perception — attracting casual players, groups of friends, and families who might not traditionally engage with golf. The campaign needed to cut through with immediacy and charm, creating a memorable message that resonated across outdoor, digital, and in-venue environments.

Solution
The campaign was developed as a bold, irreverent call to action, using the visual language of classic wanted posters to grab attention and spark curiosity. At the heart of the creative was a series of tongue-in-cheek headlines built around golf-related words, reimagined with a distinctly British sense of humour. From "Good with Wood" to "Foursome Needed," the campaign paired innuendo-laced copy with simple, striking design to create maximum impact.

The result? A campaign that turned heads, raised smiles, and most importantly, got new people through the door.

Topgolf is a flagship concept in the competitive UK socialising boom, an industry that grew 29% year-over-year by mid-2024.
