Since opening its doors in 2014 in Ben Guerir, Morocco, UM6P has quickly earned a reputation for excellence in science and technology, expanding its footprint with satellite campuses in France and North America.

Challenge
With a change of vision to attract a broader, international audience, the task was to develop a new brand strategy that would transform appeal beyond the African continent and deliver a compelling narrative to engage and resonate with a global demographic.

Solution
Through institutional immersion and rigorous global sector research, a new strategy and manifesto was developed and implemented,
‘Empowering Minds’, M – Mentor, I – Innovate, N – Nurture, D – Develop, S – Share. This would be adopted across every educational and sporting department to pioneer the way for a human-centric, student focussed narrative, creating a point of difference in a competitive market.

Framing The Identity
The UM6P campus in Ben Guerir, designed by the renowned architectural firm of Ricardo Bofill, quickly revealed its potential as the cornerstone of the university’s visual identity. Inspired by the iconic 10x10 grid windows – an architectural nod to traditional Moroccan design and its emphasis on ventilation through courtyards and openings – the identity draws directly from the campus’s award-winning built environment.

The university saw enrolment increase from 4,500 students in 2022—’23 to 7,229 in the 2024—’25 academic year.
