About
University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) hosts Science Week each year, a high-profile event bringing together leading scientists and researchers from around the world. Following the development of a new brand strategy for the university, the task was to create a visual identity system for the event that could evolve annually while maintaining a strong connection to the new UM6P brand.

Challenge
Each edition of Science Week centres on a different scientific theme, requiring an identity that could adapt year to year without losing coherence. It needed to reflect the academic rigour and ambition of UM6P, while also working across a range of formats, from digital and print to environmental graphics.

Solution
A modular identity system was created that combined consistency with adaptability. A shared grid and typographic structure ensured brand alignment, while flexible colour palettes and graphic motifs allowed each year’s theme to stand out. Supporting templates and motion principles made the system easy to implement across all channels. The result was a future-proof identity that gave Science Week a unique presence each year, while reinforcing its role as a key expression of UM6P’s global vision and academic excellence.

The Science of Identity
The identity combines cues from microchip circuitry, digital interfaces, and the distinctive geometry of UM6P’s architecture to create a contemporary, future-facing mark. At its core is a calendar-style motif, referencing the annual nature of Science Week and its place within the university’s broader academic calendar. The result is a versatile visual system that feels technological and institutional.

Designed to Evolve
Each year, Science Week explores a new scientific theme, demanding an identity that could evolve annually while maintaining visual cohesion. It needed to convey UM6P’s academic ambition and integrity, while remaining adaptable across digital, print, and environmental formats.
